This is former Young Scottish Jazz Musician of the Year, Paul Harrison's third visit to these shores, but the first time fronting his own ensemble. Previously Paul has played on Easdale with Fionna Duncan and Tam White.
In The Sermon Organ trio, Hammond, guitar and drums meet at the intersection of blues, jazz, and groove. The band was formed by acclaimed jazz musician Paul Harrison, who, as a youngster, learned to play the Hammond before he'd even encountered a piano. He returns here to the mighty instrument alongside top Scottish musicians, guitarist Malcolm Macfarlane, known for his work with Barbara Thompson, Shakatak and the Scottish Guitar Quartet, and Doug Hough, Scotland's sensational young jazz drumming star.
