We are lucky to have this world famous company coming back to the Island. Those who came to 'Outlying Islands' last year will vouch for their quality. This is a wry, intriguing play about our obsession with taking to the hills, conquering mountains and collecting Munros.

From an article first published in Easdale People magazine, Issue No 19, Summer 2004.

Easdale Island saw Edinburgh's Traverse Theatre bring its production of The Nest to Eilean Eisdeal Hall. A near capacity audience was enthralled by Alan Wilkin's fist play which came to the island as part of the continuing arts programme organised by Eilean Eisdeal.

The play brings together six characters in the sanctuary of a bothy in the West Highlands, hence The Nest. It was a wry intriguing play about the nation's obsession with taking to the hills, conquering mountains and collecting Munros and had the auience spellbound from the moment the first character appeared on the stage.
